It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of the Adoptive Parents Committee (APC). After nearly 70 years of dedicated service to the adoption community, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue our operations.

Since 1955, APC has been a beacon of support for adoptive parents across the tri-state area. We have provided invaluable resources, provided lifelong connections between members and families, advocated for humanitarian improvements in the adoption and foster care system, educated the public, media, and members about current adoption and foster care issues, and assisted members and legislators on matters of foster care and adoption.

While this decision was not easy, it is necessary. We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support and dedication of our members, volunteers, and staff over the years. Your contributions have made a lasting impact on countless lives.

As we transition, we are committed to providing as much support as possible during this time. Please visit our Resources Page and Upcoming Events for information on alternative resources, organizations, and events that can continue to offer support and services you can rely on.

Thank you once again for being a part of the APC family.

Sincerely,

Sam Pitkowsky
President, Adoptive Parents Committee
